Tomorrow's schedule brief

Every workday evening, a short list of tomorrow's jobs in time order, with gaps, missing addresses and double bookings flagged.

You'll need
  • Google Calendar connected (the calendar your jobs live on)
Time saved, honestlyIt replaces scrolling through tomorrow's calendar and spotting problems by eye. We have not measured it.

Steps

  1. Connect Google CalendarAdd it in Connect apps. The app can read and edit calendars you can edit, so the routine below tells it not to change anything.
  2. Ask for the routinePaste the routine text below.
  3. Fix problems yourselfUse the list to call customers or move jobs in your own scheduling tool.

Routine: paste into the chat to create it

Sunday to Thursday at 7:00 PM, read tomorrow's events on my Google Calendar "[CALENDAR NAME]".
List each job in time order: start time, customer, address, job type.
Flag: gaps longer than [90] minutes, jobs with no address, overlapping events, and back-to-back jobs at addresses that look far apart (say it's a rough guess).
Do not create, change or delete any event.

Replace everything in [BRACKETS]. After the Bot creates the routine, open it and check Instruction and When to run.

Limits

  • It only sees what is on that calendar. Jobs that live only in Jobber or Housecall Pro won't appear unless they sync to Google Calendar.
  • Drive-time flags are rough guesses, not routing.

Safety notes

  • Read-only by instruction. If you want it to move events later, ask in chat and approve each change.
