You'll need
- Google Sheets and Google Drive connected
- A Price book sheet with: Item, Description, Unit, Price
Time saved, honestlyIt replaces building the first draft line by line. You still check every line and the final number. We have not measured the time saved.
Steps
- Build the price bookPut your standard items and prices in one sheet. Keep it current; the Bot uses only what is there.
- Send a jobPaste the prompt below with your notes and attach photos (the desktop composer takes several attachments at a time).
- Save it as a skillWhen the result looks right, ask: "Save the process we just used as a skill called Quote draft." Next time, ask the Bot to use the Quote draft skill.
Paste this into the Bot's chat
Draft a quote for this job. Notes: [JOB NOTES]. Photos are attached. Use only prices from my Google Sheet "Price book" ([SHEET LINK]). If something is needed that is not in the price book, list it under "Needs a price" instead of guessing. Show line items, quantities, unit prices, subtotal, and tax at [TAX RATE]%. Return it as a document I can edit. Do not send it to anyone.
Limits
- It does not know local code, permit or load-calculation requirements.
- Photos may not show model numbers or the whole system; it can only quote what it can see and what you tell it.
Safety notes
- Never let it send quotes directly. Review, then send from your own system.
- Ask for facts, assumptions and open questions to be listed separately, as the docs suggest for consequential work.
